  1. I am flabbergasted at how interesting you made Iowa look! I guess I was probably unfairly prejudiced since I haven’t been there…. though I have been to much of the midwest. Although I don’t recall seeing any people so it could also look like a beautiful abandoned city…

    1. Hey thanks for the shout out. Well, like anywhere, Iowa is very interesting. Sometimes, when you are maybe used to living in a place (I don’t live in Iowa btw) you get so used to the sites that they are not special anymore, but that’s the value in exploring places, you take a fresh set of eyes. I’m always looking for that unique angle, the architecture, the obscure, some things close up, some far away. Like a lot of mid west cities, it has a steady kind of pace, and yes, there were people on the street but it wasn’t exactly bustling.
